The dress is sleeveless, has a back closure and vertical wires in the body and chest to hold the shape. The skirt has 2 tabs and a large, eye-catching tie on the side. The body of the dress is in black velvety cotton, the skirt in shiny brown. The fabric on the bottom hem of the skirt is slightly scuffed (see picture).
